Goals

The Goals of SIPMS are:

To promote the development and practice of safe, high-quality, cost-effective interventional pain management techniques in ASC settings for the diagnosis and treatment of pain related disorders, and ensure patient access to these interventions following SAFE principles: Safety, Appropriateness, Fiscal Neutrality, and Effectiveness.

Preserve and increase reimbursement for interventional pain management techniques in ASC settings

Advance patient safety, cost effectiveness, and accountability

Provide state-of-the-art interventional pain management services in ASC settings

Communicate with legislators, patients, the public, CMS, and third party payers about interventional pain management services in ASCs

Uphold high principles, policies, and practices

Pursue excellence in education in interventional pain management

Improve compliance and practice management
Eliminate fraud and abuse
Provide the best possible interventional pain management in ASC settings
